Hotel Ghost Story

I want to share a hotel ghost story I heard on TV. This is a true story and had been all over the news in Taiwan years ago.

A working student from Taipei was sent to another city by his company. He was given money for lodging. Thinking that it was a waste to rent a nice hotel room, he chose to stay in a cheap hostel.

He went to the hostel. There was no one except for a man behind the counter. He didn't see any housekeeper or any guest. Heck, he was probably the only guest in the hostel. After check-in, he went to his room. It smelled really bad. There were mice and cockroaches. He thought to himself, you get what you paid for. The room was dead cheap. What could you expect?

Thoughts on Halloween

the little girl (right) freaks out as she comes face to face with a ghost

I know it's kind of late, but... I'd like to post something Halloween-related here. It is still November after all.;)
November is one of my most anticipated months. Unlike in the West, we Filipinos don't dress up as fairies, zombies, or ghosts and walk in the streets. Mostly, it's only kids (or mall staffs) who dress up in costumes. Kids in costumes would flock to the malls and bring their pumpkin baskets from store to store and yell "trick or treats!" Hey, maybe I can wear a mask and pretend to be a tall kid. I should have thought about that earlier!

Ghost in the Hotel Room?

Have you stayed in a hotel with ghosts? If so, is the hotel a reputable one? Is it old? Does anyone else know about it? How was the encounter?
There are rumors that Park Lane Hotel, which is located at tourists-packed Causeway Bay in Hong Kong, is haunted by ghosts. Coincidentally, that is the hotel where I stay whenever I visit Hong Kong. I learned about the ghosts from relatives who've also been there.
